Porchlight

Finish what someone else abandoned.

What is Porchlight?

Share a song, sketch or poem you couldn’t finish. Pick up someone else’s unfinished piece and complete it together. If you both enjoy it, stay in touch and make more.

Footnote: stale bread becomes croutons. Unfinished things are just croutons waiting for soup.

The ritual

Four phases of the moon. Nobody is contacted unless you both say yes.

  1. Leave an offering

Upload a riff, sketch, poem or scrap. Unfinished is the point.

  2. Wander the drift

Swipe through pieces from people who make what you love.

  3. Complete the work

The owner accepts your request, then you add your half.

  4. Speak the names

If you both want more, you swap contact details.

Side quest: the best croutons use day-old bread and a hot oven. This has nothing to do with anything. Everything does.

The fine print is a spell

Short and kind, so everyone feels safe leaving something fragile here. Read it aloud if you like.

Shared credit

Every finished piece is credited to both of you. The owner decides if it can be shared publicly.

Hidden until yes

Your Instagram or email stays secret until you both agree to connect.

Kept gentle

18+ for now. No hate, no explicit content, no stolen work. Reports reach a real person.

Your sigil

No photos. Your face is a moth symbol in a colour you choose. Be mysterious.

The porch light is on

Something is already circling. It is probably a moth. It is probably fine.
